For someone like Ahmed who rock climbs and summits ridiculous mountains like Mt St. Helens, this was a pretty low-key adventure, BUT I have to say this was probably the best dressed he's ever been while exploring the PNW!
Puppies plus windblown hair equals I'm in love this Oregon Coast engagement session! This couple brought their 3 boys along and completely embraced the windy oregon coast weather we were having.
The sun was shining on Lauren and Colby for their first look tucked away in the soaring green trees at Summit Grove Lodge in Ridgefield, WA.
I want to celebrate how amazing it is that we all aren't going to look like a styled session. How amazing it is that we get to ROCK all different styles of wedding dresses.
A romantic snowy engagement session with Viktoria + Maksim!
We adventured to waterfalls, ran on beaches, floated in lakes, kissed in the desert, strolled by rivers, held hands on mountains, looked cool on rooftops, danced during sunsets and celebrated being together forever.
At first we were thinking a pretty garden-style location but then fell in love with the desert scenery that Central Oregon offers. Since their wedding will be in a location with tons of greenery, my suggestion is always to mix it up and go with a different look for the engagement session.
I love that I get to be friends with my clients. Learning all about their vision for the wedding day and the stories behind their love story (like the incredible story behind Lauren's ring later in this blog). It all helps me do my job better on the big day.
You should have seen my happy dance when Holly told me she wanted to bring her canoe, wear a red floor-length gown and eat smores for their engagement session.
Give me alllllll the barefoot brides! Marit and Jack's wedding style was a Pacific Northwest take on boho, and I loved every second of it!
"Of all the places I've wandered,
everywhere I thought to roam,
no other I could have pondered,
would ever feel like home."
SJ and Paul's wedding guests traveled from different countries to Portland, Oregon for the big day, and they definitely got the PNW wedding experience!
Today I got an email from one of my super sweet brides saying, "I'm so nervous for this weekend! How can I relax a bit??" I figured this is probably on a LOT of minds as we sit in the thick of engagement session and wedding season. So I am hoping you get something helpful from my response to her:
What better way to experience one of PNW's greatest beauties than to bring a love story to life amidst the spray of a powerful waterfall?
The sweetest engagement session ft. the cutest pup and Southern Oregon in all its beauty.
"We gotta do it! Happily"
Choose a dress that resonates with how you want to feel and who you want to be on your wedding day.

Even though they make me feel old, I can't help but feel so lucky to have captured these seniors this year.
This tip is one of the most important things. Ever.
It was a scorching 107 degrees as we trekked to this location in beautiful Williams, Oregon.
We found a pretty stunning location on the river in Grants Pass, Oregon.
I had a blast with Amelia during her senior session here in Southern Oregon!
My favorite part about this session was when Kate told me she only ever does the cutesy laugh-smile for the camera. Sure it's apparent she's adorable, but after this session I hope she realizes she's smokin' hot too.
